Sharepoint capacity Planning, templates and more

It does seem odd that with the release of the PerformancePoint CTP I am writing about Sharepoint but I seem to have been doing a bit more in this space and I have not had the time to really get under the skin of PerformancePoint – yet.

By a strange coincidence I was working on Sharepoint planning yesterday and found these documents which are blogged about by Joel Oleson along with some more. They were in the main very very useful.

The Sharepoint team have also announced the "Fabulous 40" Site Templates for WSS 3.0. These are due out in early 2007. They also detail everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask about installs, upgrades and migrations.
