Scott Mitchell writes that the Microsoft on line source code repository is to be killed off by the end of June.
I remember trying like crazy to use GotDotNet as a source code repository with its integration to Visual Studio, however, the reliability, speed and interface issues it had killed it for me. I still think that Microsoft could pull this off if they apply themselves to it. Maybe CodePlex has got it right?
Scott adds that all the content etc will be killed off at the same time as Microsoft feel that their efforts are better focused else where. He makes the point that whilst Microsoft can close the site they should not kill off the content as there is still valuable information in the archives there.
